About Us..

Pearl Republic (pearlrepublic.com) and Omni-America are managed and owned by native-born American citizens. All staff members of both companies were born and raised in the United States. Corporate offices are in Lakeland, Florida USA.

For the past three years, Omni-America has been a designer and wholesaler of custom canvas totes. With expansion onto the Internet, and with the development of more diverse product lines, owners felt the name Pearl Republic better reflected these offerings. Thus, pearlrepublic.com was born.

This name is also a tribute to The Pearl Islands, an archipelago 40 miles off Central America in the Pacific Ocean. Before its deep waters were over-harvested, “Las Perlas” was known the world over for some of the most beautiful and wondrous natural pearls ever found.

It is the goal of Pearl Republic to capture again the exciting atmosphere and ambience of these days of old. Fortunately this can be done today without the fear of English high-seas pirates on the loose. Two of the most famous--Francis Drake and Henry Morgan--would steal away into the night to the island of Contradora in the Pearl Islands to count their bounty.

The rebirth of stunning white pearls can be found in this land we call Pearl Republic. Using the new advances made in “pearl farming,” we are committed to offering women the most beautiful pearls at a truly affordable price.

And you will discover for yourself the diverse scope of pearlrepublic.com.  It is all about combining the best of two worlds. And that means our heaven-sent semi-precious gemstones. Like you have never seen before. Like you have never looked before. Absolutely gorgeous. Guaranteed!

About Lakeland ...

Lakeland, Florida USA has everything but problems. The city is a virtual crime-free oasis on the high-tech Interstate-4 corridor between Tampa Bay to the west and Disney World/Orlando to the east.

Lakeland, incorporated in 1885, is a centennial city. It is situated in an ideal tropical location. We’re just a 35-minute drive to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World near Orlando. And a 30-minute drive to Tampa and the waters of Tampa Bay.

The name Lakeland is truly appropriate. The city encompasses 38 named lakes and numerous smaller ones. Our lakes serve as home to many beautiful swans, given to the city as a gift from the Queen of England. So, it is only fitting that our city symbol is the graceful swan.

The population of Lakeland and the outlying areas is 90,000, these residents owning just enough autos to create an occasional traffic jam.

Lakeland was born when the first orange tree was planted. The tropical climate -- with an annual average temperature of 72 degrees F -- is perfect for producing bountiful citrus and vegetable crops. During the growing season the sweet smell of orange blossoms permeate the air.

There is only light industry in Lakeland. In addition to the citrus and vegetable business, the city is home to Publix Super Markets.

Of the two universities located here, Florida Southern College is noted for the largest collection of standing buildings designed by world famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

Recreation, tourism, arts and crafts shows, the art museum and a large parks and sports system are a plus in Lakeland. And as 3,000 aviators know, our small airport hosts the annual Sun ‘N Fun Fly-in. This is billed as the largest aircraft-aviator convention in the world, bringing in 200,000 visitors to enjoy the aircraft and all of the festivities.

We cannot forget to mention our retirees who moved here primarily from the Northeast and Midwest. They now call Lakeland their home. Retirement communities continue to expand in the area. These seniors’ laid-back demeanor enables them to enjoy fishing, golf, tennis, shuffleboard and boating to name a just a few activities. And, dining is abundant at all of the nationally known restaurants.

Lakeland is not a mecca for nightlife and we like it that way. With all of the daylight activities, the moonlight is reserved for rest and relaxation.

All of our hometowns across this great country have a special uniqueness that is so dear to each and every one of us. So just as you love and revere your hometown, we at Pearl Republic love and revere ours.
